Employers
The National Skills Academy for Manufacturing (The Skills
Acadamy) is led by key UK manufacturing employers across the
sectors including Nissan, Toyota, Corus, Rolls-Royce plc,
Caterpillar, Ford, GKN, Airbus UK, BAE Systems and VT Group, who
reflect their skills needs in each of the nine regions across
sectors through Regional Advisory Groups (RAGs) who play an
integral part on influencing and setting national standards.
Regional
Advisory Groups (RAGs)
The roles and responsibilities of RAGs include
providing employer leadership, identifying employers' skills needs,
engaging regional manufacturing employers across sectors and
ensuring SME involvement. RAGs also monitor provisions in
line with regional priorities in compliance with The Skills
Academy standard.
Sectors
The Skills Academy employers across various
manufacturing sectors include: Aerospace, Automotive, Marine,
Electrical, Electronics, Metals, Engineered Metals and
Bioscience.
